For the past week I've been struggling to get a subscriber built for CUCM and for Unity connection both.  Publisher installations went fine on all servers, but the subscriber would hang when checking to see whether the Publisher defined as indeed a publisher. The resolution wound up being to not use @ in any passwords.  I hadn't used them in the security password, and I found that there is indeed a restriction documented on using special characters in the security password.  What was not document is that you should not use that symbol in your application user password either, and presumably not the admin password either.  I have not tested to see whether you can keep it in your admin password, but I don't really care at this point.  I saw two separate errors : When I got through these errors, I found that the IM and Presence server was still having the issue.  I had attempted to set it up with the previous passwords, an it was stuck on the same error...
